November 4

Spooky Day came and went without much incident.

I spent the day yesterday cleaning out my office. I graduate very soon, and so will leave my position as editor in chief of the Alpine Advocate. I have three possible replacements: HollyAnn, a girl named Star Shue, and Cammie Andre, Kay's little sister. I won't be picking my replacement, the sponsor will, but whoever it is, I hope they do a good job.

The next day was a Saturday. Sierra and I went swimming in the spring. The feeling of the icy-cool water upon our skin was exhilarating. Especially now, that winter is coming. And you can feel that winter is coming, in the air. We've decided that we can't wait to go snowboarding!

Afterward, we toured the arboretum that had just been built in Hidden Springs. I just don't think Sierra is all that into the fairy thing. I think she's more into the darker magic, like alchemy and witchcraft. I know she has taken up alchemy but mom doesn't. Yet.

I know something else too. Sierra told me that she is crushing hard on this girl in her biology class, named Lily Richards. I'm not all that familiar with Lily except she is on the newspaper staff and she is half-Chinese.
I didn't know what to tell her. After all, I'm having my own struggles with this issue. Kay and I went to prom together pretty much as BFFs. That one boy, Braden Cooper, doesn't seem to give me the time or day. I've now heard that he goes out with a girl who goes to Smuggsworth, Marley Wentworth. Her parents own a fashion-design house and her older sister is the top designer and has worked for the royal family.
I sometimes wonder... what's wrong with me??? I don't get it.
