My best friend, Kayleigh, took early graduation from high school and is now touring with the national equestrian team.



I take everything Sierra says with a grain of salt. A big grain of salt.



Just yesterday, before mom left on her tour, she insisted on going to see Sister Valana. "Why do you want to see her?" I asked her. I tried to talk her out of going, but of course, Sierra being Sierra, and me being unable to say no, she insisted, and I basically went along with her, if for no other reason than to at least TRY to keep her in line.



I didn't hear everything Sierra was telling Sister Valana, but she was saying something about not knowing what she wants out of life. "You're still quite young yet," she said, "you've just become a teen? You're still a baby."



Then, right before mom left, she comes up with a whopper. She's interested in being an astronaut
"I'm kind of thinking it'll be fun to do a spacewalk," she said. Even my mom was kind of disbelieving that one.



"I'm kind of thinking it'll be fun to fly overhead, explore distant planets, man spacecraft --"

What has gotten into this girl? She's my little sister and I love her to death but her behavior has got us all scratching our heads. We've all got to be wondering if the full moon has got her acting a little loopy.
