October 1

After we did our homework, the three of us went out during a full moon. We'd never experienced the full power of the full moon before, because back in Hidden Springs we didn't have all this happen. We decided to check out the gypsy place again.

While Sierra went into the wagon to get her fortune read, Skylar and I waited outside. "Sage, what's going on in there?"
"Well, the nice lady is in there talking to Sierra."
"What's she saying to her?"
I laughed. "I don't know. You'd have to ask her when she gets out."
A few minutes later Sierra walked out of the tent and it was my turn.

The fortune teller is Sister Valana, a gypsy who lives in a little house on the outskirts of town. This was my first time seeing her up close, and goodness, she's very beautiful.
"Sit down," she commanded in a low, deep, heavily accented voice.
"Your high school graduation is soon, am I correct?"
How did she know that? I wondered.
"Do you know what you want to do with your life?"
I shrugged my shoulders.
"I just had your sister in here, she has a feistiness about her. But you -- I see a temperament as calm as the ocean. You like animals, don't you?"
I nodded.
"And you're a vegetarian."
How did she know that?
"I told your sister that she will thrive here in Moonlight Falls. I suspect she has a hidden talent that will come pouring out of her. I feel the same way about you, but I see you thriving in a different way. You're going to receive an opportunity for you to do that."

The next morning, mom left to go on her book tour and speak at the convention. Which left AJ and me in charge of the younger kids, for the most part. I had to change Sawyer's diapers... Sawyer is a sweet kid, really. He doesn't poop or cry much like Sky did unless he needs something...

...and Sky got a rocking horse until she can ride the real thing.

This is where we moved to. The house is enormous and is stacked with everything.

The poor papergirl was a bit shook up by Bonehilda though. She sent the poor girl running down the street.

I finally got my veggie garden that I've been asking for for months. The other good news is it's indoors, so it's safe from zombies and horses. I've been meaning to go to the Arboretum to check out the gardening courses there and even enter a gardening contest.

I was sitting at the breakfast table with the new butler, Rashawn Marks. Have to admit he is devastatingly handsome. However, he's not exactly the best worker. He spends most of his time sleeping and Bonehilda does most of the work around the compound.
"Sage, is it?" he asked in a dulcet baritone. "Lovely name for a lovely girl. So, how about it, you and me --"
"Me and you -- what?"
"Couple drinks at the Red Velvet, then maybe a date or two, then a walk on the beach, maybe a proposal --"
I laughed. This notion to me was ridiculous. "I'm still in high school," I reminded him.
"But you do get out soon, right?"
"That's not the point."
"What is the point?"
"I hardly know you."
"But you can get to know me."
"I'm not ready to get married --" Good thing I heard the school bus horn honk. I was ready to leave anyway.
